2016 Father's Day Events in The Fraser Valley

Father's Day is on Sunday, June 19th this year and it's time to get planning!  Many of the stops on the Circle Farm Tour will be holding Father’s Day events in 2016 so find something fun to do this weekend to celebrate your dad!

Burger Bash with Golden Ears Cheesecrafters

June, 19th, from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, Golden Ears Cheesecrafters in Maple Ridge will be holding their annual Father's Day Burger Bash! Enjoy big, juicy BBQ’d Burgers, your choice of award-winning Golden Ears cheese and top it off with all the fixings! Stay to enjoy the beer seminars by Foamer’s Folly.

Beer Seminars will run by donation (cash only) at… – 1:00pm – 2:00pm – 3:00pm – 4:00pm

*LIMITED SEATING AVAILABLE *donations will be made to Cythera Transition House Society.

Black Powder Father's Day Event

Join the wonderful staff and volunteers at Kilby Historic Site as they take you back to the 1880’s for their Black Power event on Father’s Day!  Learn about muskets, pistols, bows and arrows along with a blacksmith demonstrating his craft. The Fraser Valley Frontiersmen will be on site demonstrating antique firearms and primitive archery. There’ll be a Trader’s Row, music, and lots of fun for kids of all ages!

Father’s Day wouldn’t be complete without a sizzlin’ barbeque! Another option is to book the whole family into our restaurant for a traditional Roast Beef Dinner for lunch! Reserve your spot at noon or 2 pm for the roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, home-made gravy, seasonal veggies, dessert and beverage for only $19.95/person.

Father's Day at Backyard Vineyard

Celebrate Dad with a BBQ on Sunday, June 19th from 1:00 to 4:00pm at Backyard Vineyards in Langley. Enjoy a gourmet burger with all the fixin’s, homemade potato salad, and a glass of Backyard's most popular wine. $22 per person (plus tax). RSVP by calling 604-539-9463 as space is limited.

Fraser Valley Cider's "Play Forts in the Field"

On Sunday the 19th, Fraser Valley Cider will be holding their first “Play Forts in the Field”. Bring the family down to Fraser Valley Cider for the launch of their soda flights especially for kids! Kids get to build play forts in the orchard field with our “Fort-Master” Felix. Dads can enjoy a glass of cider in the newly opened picnic area. Cidery open from 11am to 9pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Fort building noon - 5pm on Sunday only.

Father's Day 3rd Annual Wine & Swine

Bacon, wine and dad for Father's Day... Need we say more? Join Township 7 Winery in Langley for their Fifth Annual Wine & Swine on June 19th to celebrate the special dad in your life at our picturesque South Langley winery. The tasting includes three of their much anticipated wine releases paired with gourmet pork fare, to enjoy at your leisure. Live music will be performed by local folk rock trio LB4LB (Pound 4 Pound).

Tickets are $30 (plus tax) per person. This always sells out and space is limited so book soon! Two times are available for pre-booking 11:30-1:30 pm or 2:30-4:30 pm. Please select the time you would like to attend and call 604-532-1766 to secure your reservation with payment.

Father's Day at Fort Langley National Historic Site

On Sunday, June 19th, head to The Fort Langley National Historic Site for a day of history and fun! Stop by late morning to see salmon cooking in a traditional way near the bonfire and hear storytelling. At 2 pm, watch a musket firing demonstration followed by target practice. At 3 pm, watch a blacksmith demonstration followed by a flint & steel fire-starting activity at 3:30 pm.

Regular admission fees apply ($7.80 per adult); free for annual pass holders.

Safety Day at Maan Farms

Visit Maan Farms in Abbotsford on June 19th for their 1st annual Free Family Safety Day! Emergency Services representatives from all over the lower mainland will be coming to show families what they do, have hands on activities and live demos. Tentative Safety stations include: Fire, Police, Ambulance, Bike, Self Defense, Emergency Preparedness, Wildlife Safety, Search & Rescue, and Water Safety. As the Safety day also falls on Father's day there will also be kitchen specials & pie eating contests.
